I was an Engineering Thermodynamics grader and Peer Leader for Introduction to Engineering classes while in college. It was usual for me to be tutoring students in math and other courses while I studied in the learning lab. It is exciting to promote the value of education and higher education when talking with anyone: children, teenagers, young adults, and older. In college, I visited community colleges, businesses, gave tours of the engineering department, and conducted fun experiments for student outreach activities to engage the students and youth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I took several of math classes to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I may need notes to work by for Calculus & DE because my old papers and notebooks are stored in another state, but with a heads-up on material I can prepare for a session. If you're having difficulties in other classes, I can go over your work during the session. I would also like to see your quizzes and tests in the class so we can figure out your weaknesses.

Hobbies

When I was young, I really enjoyed drawing realistic faces and that soon exploded into a love of many arts, hobbies, and crafts. My favorites are knitting, crocheting, sewing, watercolor painting, sculpting, and drawing. I always thought I would be an artist when I grew up, but I heard too much about being a "starving artist" so I shifted my focus on mathematics and design in high school. I'm a mother of two boys, 5th grade & 9th grade. Oldest is in all honors classes & I have had a lot of practice tutoring him through the years. Although I'm not a fan, I understand common core mathematics. My youngest is currently learning that method. I track their grades, speak and meet with teachers, help them with organization, review for tests, and even make practice tests. I am a very patient person and am excited about education.
